Children, Young People & Family Support
We provide practical, targeted support to children and families across the South Yorkshire Region, by helping prevent family breakdown, support children to remain safely within their family homes wherever possible, improve wellbeing, and enable children to thrive by offering targeted support in a timely manner.
Our work sits alongside statutory and community services, complementing the support offered by local authorities, schools, health services, and voluntary organisations. We focus on families facing significant challenges where timely, structured intervention can strengthen parenting capacity, reduce risk, and create the stability needed for positive and lasting change.

Decluttering and Cleaning Support
Some families may, due to illness, bereavement, or other challenging circumstances, find it difficult to maintain a safe and appropriate home environment. This can impact day-to-day routines and create additional pressures at a time when families are already under significant strain.
A clean, organised home can play an important role in reducing stress, supporting positive routines, and creating a safer, more nurturing environment in which children can grow and thrive.

Support With Routines and Boundaries
Consistent routines and appropriate boundaries are central to children’s safety, wellbeing, and development. We support families to establish sustainable daily structures that promote stability, positive behaviour, and school engagement, especially where challenges such as health issues, bereavement, or major transitions have disrupted family life.

Practical Support during reduced capacity
Families may experience periods of reduced capacity due to ill health, pregnancy, recovery from major surgery, or significant life changes, which can affect their ability to fully meet their children’s day-to-day needs. Our team provides short-term, practical, in-home support to help maintain stability, reduce pressure, and ensure children remain safe, supported within their home.

Education and Attendance Support
Many families face challenges related to diet, limited physical activity, and the rising prevalence of childhood obesity. We work alongside parents to encourage balanced, nutritious meals, promote regular physical activity, and establish positive habits that benefit the health and wellbeing of the whole family. Our approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to each family’s circumstances, helping children develop lifelong healthy habits.

Crisis / Emergency Support
When a family faces an unexpected crisis, our support workers provide immediate, practical assistance to ensure children are remain safe and cared for in their home. We step in during sudden hospital admissions, serious accidents, bereavements, a parent’s terminal illness diagnosis, emergency surgeries, or any unforeseen event that temporarily prevents a parent from caring for their children. Our goal is to provide stability, reassurance, and hands-on support during times of urgent need.
